The Management Development and Training Institute can be called as the main institution that operates for the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes of civil servants in Southern Province.
By creating economic and social development in the southern province through the planned management of human, financial and physical resources, it has become a mandatory requirement to create a perfect public service that can successfully meet the challenges of the ever-changing world to satisfy the needs and wants of the public.
In order to achieve these goals, the need to work in a targeted plan arises and in order to work in a targeted plan, the Management Development Training Institute conducts training programs in a new face away from the traditional method.
Wakwella Management Development Training Institute was established on 07.04.2000 and acts as the premier training institute established for a total of 52000 government employees in the Southern Province. Accordingly, the Wakwella Management Development Training Institute bears overall responsibility for management development and training in the provincial public service.
Our institution, State Administration Circular No. dated 13.03.1990. 14/90, State Administration Circular No. 11/2001 dated 29.05.2001 and State Administration Circular No. 12/90 dated 28.02.1990 detailed under National Public Service Training Policy and Southern Provincial Council Statutes, headed by the Chief Secretary Bound by all applicable regulations and procedures as a government organization with board.
